| Title: The
Whitlams Subject: Me in a trolley and "Phil Hamer". Place: A Shopping Centre in New Zealand Comment: Every time I look at this photo, I imagine that I've just released an album and this photo is on the inside cover. It's sort of my half-assed attempt at a tour shot, and I don't really know how well it came off. Still, it's one of the more loved photos in my collection simply because if I ever release an album, this photo is going to be on the inside cover, and it reminds of a carefree day. Look at the concrete beam behind my head, and the orientation of the landscape, it's almost as if the world has been bent away from the weirdo in the trolley, how quaint, apt, yet quaint. I love the colour scheme too. Not that there is one, but just the general "cool of the outside vs the warmth of a parking lot" vibe. In 10 days time I'm going to see The Whitlams at The Metro and while I was trying to convince other people to come with me this afternoon, I thought of this photo. Rating: 8 / 10 |
